1. Introduction

Welcome to Zolt. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Zolt platform at zolt.me ("Service"). The Service is operated by Zolt Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number pending registration). Registered address will be updated upon company registration.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Zolt is a software platform that provides creators, freelancers, and small businesses with website building tools, digital product delivery software, membership management, and customer engagement features. Zolt is similar in nature to Shopify, Gumroad, or Notion — we are a pure software company.

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, an FCA-authorized payment institution. Zolt does not process payments, hold customer funds, or provide any regulated financial services. Creators connect their own Stripe account via Stripe Connect, and all funds flow directly between supporters and creators through Stripe.

3. Eligibility

To use Zolt, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or the legal age in your jurisdiction
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Comply with Stripe's Terms of Service for payment processing

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Each person may only maintain one creator account

5. Stripe Connect & Payments

Zolt uses Stripe Connect to enable creators to accept payments. By using Zolt's payment features, you agree to:

• Connect your own Stripe account during onboarding
• Comply with Stripe's Terms of Service
• Complete Stripe's identity verification requirements
• Ensure your Stripe account remains active and in good standing

All payments flow directly between your supporters and your Stripe account. Zolt receives a platform fee (application fee) via Stripe Connect. Zolt does not hold your funds at any point.

6. Subscription Plans & Platform Fees

Zolt charges a platform fee on transactions processed through your connected Stripe account:

• Free Plan — 8% platform fee
• Starter Plan ($5/month) — 5% platform fee
• Pro Plan ($15/month) — 2% platform fee
• Business Plan ($49/month) — 1% platform fee

Stripe's standard processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) apply in addition to Zolt's platform fee and are collected by Stripe directly. Platform fees are deducted automatically via Stripe Connect at the time of each transaction.

7. Payouts

Payouts are managed entirely by Stripe. Your earnings go directly from supporters to your connected Stripe account. Stripe deposits funds to your bank account on your chosen schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly). Zolt has no control over and no access to your payout timing or bank account details. Any payout issues should be addressed directly with Stripe support.

8. Digital Products

• Creators are solely responsible for the digital products they sell
• Products must not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
• Products must not contain malware, viruses, or harmful content
• We do not review or verify the quality or accuracy of digital products
• Refund policies for digital products are determined by the creator
• Zolt Ltd reserves the right to remove products that violate our Terms

9. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Zolt to:

• Sell illegal goods or services of any kind
• Engage in fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing
• Sell adult content, weapons, drugs, or regulated substances
• Sell counterfeit, stolen, or unauthorized copies of products
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Distribute malware or conduct phishing attacks
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass our fee structure

10. Intellectual Property

Zolt and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Zolt Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you upload to the platform but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and process it as necessary to provide the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zolt Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of subscription fees paid by you to Zolt Ltd in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Zolt is not liable for any payment processing issues, which are the responsibility of Stripe.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

13. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. As Zolt does not hold your funds, there are no balances to release upon termination — your Stripe account and its funds remain yours independently of your Zolt account.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email and by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
